The story: Lynsted Park House is a gorgeous wedding venue in Faversham, Kent. The clients wanted us to build them a storage building for the functions held there, so we designed a 6-bay carriage barn. It will be used to store tables and chairs when they’re not needed. The clients wanted to achieve a traditional design so that the building would blend seamlessly with the main house, which was built in 1559. To accomplish this traditional aesthetic, we used weatherboard cladding with oak features.
Planning permission was required, and we produced the design drawings needed to obtain this. When this permission was approved, we contracted a local groundworker to install the base of the structure before the main building install. This took five days.
